Survival Guides Part 1 With Minecraft Reviews

First Step: Choosing location

To start off, you would need to find a suitable location to build your shelter. We will go through each and every of the requirements below:

  • The Location should be close to a water source.
  • With trees nearby.
  • Ideally with food source nearby (e.g Pigs, Cows, Chickens, Rabbits or a Village etc.)
  • Preferably next to a water source (for farming and other purposes.)

Second step: Gather resources

  1. After choosing your location, start gather materials. Start off with getting wood
  2. Simply punch and destroy few wood blocks, with a decent amount of wood, you can make a wooden pickaxe.
  3. Start gathering cobble stones with your pickaxe, half a stack (32 blocks) should be enough for this moment.
  4. Make a stone axe with your newly-gathered materials and gather more wood.
  5. Hint: Chopping down Oak trees or Dark Oak Trees may or may not give you apples
  6. Make a sword, can be both stone or wood
  7. Try gathering seeds by destroying grass

Well Done! You're ready for the next step!

Third Step: Food!

You can now find animals like Cows, Horses, Chickens, Sheeps and Pigs and kill it for food or other material (i.e Leather and Wool)

Now, You're ready to build your house. Build your house with whatever material (e.g Dirt, Wood, Cobblestones etc.). It doesn't need to be big and grand, you can improve it later.

BEWARE OF THE TIME! These all should be done before the night arrives. If you follow the steps correctly, you should be able to survive the night in your shelter.

Craft a bed (if possible) with 3 wool and 3 wood planks. It allows you to sleep in it, and next time, you'll be able to spawn in the location where the bed is placed (if you die).

When your hunger bar reaches a low point, eat food you have gathered. If you have enough cobblestone, you can craft a furnace. The furnace will allow you to cook food with fuel such as wood planks, wood or coal. Cooked food can fill more hunger bar compared to raw food. Raw food can also give you food poisoning.
